Both the SoCs are created for providing a smooth performing environment for mid-range and budget smartphones. Speculations are that we will get to see the first smartphone carrying the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor in the first quarter of 2023. On the other hand, we can get to see a phone carrying Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 next week as iQOO is planning to do so.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset details
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 is an octa-core chipset with a Kryo CPU and a max speed of 2.2GHz. It is created on the 4nm node and offers 5G support too. As claimed by Qualcomm, the chipset is 35% more efficient than other Snapdragon 6 series processors. It comes coupled with the Adreno graphics processing unit (GPU). The name of the GPU is still not revealed yet and we are too waiting for the same. The processor is integrated with X62 5G Modem-RF System with up to 2.9Gbps peak download speed.
