The malware is targeted to infect Windows OS based systems, with infecting several hundreds of thousands of computers and lured over $4 billion in ransom till date. A recent report from an antivirus firm, precise security tells, WannaCry has a share of near 24% of total ransomware attacks happened in 2019, making it the most common malware of last year. Though few malware of such would simple encrypt the system and leave, they’re breakable and bought to the line for average CyberSecurity people. But WannaCry is a tough one to crack, resulting in infecting over 230,000 computers all over as per estimates.

The intended virus shall rapidly spread systems and encrypt all the files, and if possible, the whole network sometimes! Though Microsoft released patches for this ransomware attack a long back, customers ignorance for updating their systems is still a roadblock, eventually leading them to get hacked.
